1. Who we are

Starhorse Shipping Lines, Inc. (“Starhorse”, “we”) is the personal information controller for the information you submit through this application form, with office at 20 San Antonio Street, Lourdes Subdivision, Brgy. Isabang, Lucena City, Quezon Province. We process it in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

2. What we collect

• Your full name, email address, contact number and (if given) address;
• Your message or cover letter, and your resume / CV with everything in it;
• The job posting you applied for, the date and time you applied, and when you gave this consent;
• Your IP address, used only to stop repeated or automated submissions of this form and deleted after about a day.

Resumes often contain sensitive personal information (such as age, date of birth, marital status, education or government-issued ID numbers). Please include only what is relevant to the job. We process sensitive personal information only with your consent.

3. Why we use it

• To evaluate your application for the position you applied for;
• To contact you about your application, interviews and the hiring outcome;
• To verify the information you provided, where needed for the role;
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We rely on your consent and on the steps needed before a possible employment contract (Sections 12 and 13 of RA 10173). We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell it.

4. Who can see it

Only authorized Starhorse personnel involved in hiring. Our website, database and file storage are run by service providers who host the data for us under confidentiality and security obligations; some of their servers may be outside the Philippines. We disclose information to others only when the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

If you are not hired, we keep your application and resume for up to one (1) year after the hiring process for the position ends, so we can consider you for similar openings, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner (see section 7). If you are hired, your application becomes part of your employee records under our employment policies.

6. How we protect it

Applications are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Resumes are kept in private storage that the public cannot access, and only signed-in, authorized staff can open them.

7. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to:

• be informed of how your personal information is processed;
• access your personal information and get a copy of it;
• correct inaccurate or outdated information;
• object to processing, or withdraw your consent (this withdraws your application);
• have your information blocked or erased;
• data portability, and damages for any violation of your rights;
• file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The version in effect when you apply is the one shown here, with its effective date above.

Effective November 1, 2026

1. Accurate information. The information and documents you submit must be true, complete and your own. False or misleading information may disqualify you, or be grounds for ending employment if discovered later.
2. No guarantee of employment. Submitting an application does not create an employment relationship or guarantee an interview or a job offer. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
3. Openings may change. Postings may be edited, filled or closed at any time without notice.
4. No fees. Starhorse never asks applicants to pay any fee to apply, be interviewed or be hired. Report anyone who asks for payment in our name.
5. Acceptable use. Submit only your own application. Do not upload files that contain viruses or harmful code, or use this form to send spam or automated submissions.
6. Your personal information is handled as described in the Applicant Privacy Notice above.
7. Withdrawing. You may withdraw your application at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
8. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
